Anyway, my all time favorite fashion spread is inspired by Alice In Wonderland – top one (and above) is Annie Leibovitz from Vogue a few years back. The other are two are from SO-EN a Japanese fashion magazine. I love the mix of drawing and photography – in the first one from SO-EN.
Unessa (above) by Jenni Tuominen for Marimekko is one of those amazing pieces that makes me want to cry because it’s so perfect and beautiful – and I get depressed that I can’t create something like it! Sounds crazy I guess but it’s true! I have to get this print. You can get a single repeat printed on fabric from Textile Arts or from Scandanavian Design Center. See more of Jenni’s work below.
Here are some amazing prints by Swedish designer Josef Frank. After learning about Frank’s work from my friend Isabelle of Brass Thimbles, I started to realize that prints I have loved forever from places like Anthropologie were actually Josef Frank’s designs. If you are interested in buying any of his textiles you can do so at Svenskt Tenn.
Another new print: Pygmy Elephants!
Borneo’s Pygmy elephants are the smallest subspecies of elephant. They live in North East Borneo, mostly in the Malaysian state of Sabah. There are less than 1000 pygmy elephants left in the wild. There biggest threat like most species is habitat destruction and human-elephant conflicts. Pygmy elephants, like orangutans, are especially threatened by the palm oil industry.
Fifi Lapin the adorably fashionable bunny has kept me busy all week. I’ve read through every one of her blog posts, browsed through her flickr site and stressed about which one of her lovely prints to buy. They are all so gorgeous I had a very hard time.
I finally went for this print:
Here are some of my favorite of Fifi’s drawings. There are so many beautiful ones make sure to go to her blog and check them all out.
There are three different prints in a variety of styles. All bags are available at the LeSportsac website.

I’ve been working on prints all weekend. I have about 5 in the works prints – and was hoping to finish them all up this weekend since I finally had a little time. Yet, they always seem to suck up way more time than you’d expect. Finished 1 today! So I guess that is a start. Hopefully I’ll have another for tomorrow. Here you go:
